GATHERING FOR COVID PROTECTION FRAMEWORK

We are committed to connecting to Christ, loving people, serving others and building leaders. The COVID-19 protection framework presents new opportunities for our church family to achieve this.

This pamphlet outlines our plan to gather as a church whether we are in green, orange or red. This plan includes church gatherings in the following ways:

  • Church @ Church

  • Church @ School

  • Church @ Home

  • Church @ Online

Each type of gathering will be explored on the following pages. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with the details and welcome feedback to help us develop the best plan for God.
We will also include additional information about gathering in red. Please note that this plan will be reviewed at the end of our first quarter of 2022. Until then, let’s press together with Jesus.

We will continue to host an open worship gathering at church every Sabbath. These will require a ticket to attend, and will be limited to the restriction number of each traffic light colour.
Masks are compulsory to wear at church when in red. And we remind you not to come to church if you or someone from your household is unwell, or are awaiting a COVID test result.
We acknowledge those who have been coming to join us for “church @ church”, and those who have watched with us from home. Starting from February 2022, this venue will also include a youth service once per month.

Church_School.png

Starting from 12 February we will host a certified gathering at the school every fortnight. This gathering will allow unlimited entry in green and orange and will require ticketed entry of up to 100 attendees in red.

Church at school will begin with a worship service at 9:30 am, followed by Sabbath School classes at 11:00 am. This will allow both the church and school venues to hear the same preacher in person.

We are excited that our children’s ministries will be able to continue at the school. Our juniors Sabbath school, however, will be meeting at a nearby home as an open gathering on the same week as "church @ school” and online on the alternative weeks. The venue for the in-person class will be advertised each fortnight. We will also continue with the zoom kids Bible club each week for those unable to attend “church @ school”.

Church_home.png

We have a range of Sabbath school classes and small groups that can meet at home. These can be certified or open gatherings, depending on the host of the home and leader of each group.

This gathering reflects a key method of growth for the New Testament as they went from “house to house” (Acts 5:42). We recognise that our home groups may or may not attend our other gatherings, but encourage them to participate as the Lord leads.

If you are not part of a home group, or are interested in starting one, get in touch with our Pastors or coordinators and we’d love to work with you to expand this ministry.

Church online-21.png

We will continue to live-stream our worship gatherings from church every Sabbath. This will include our zoom Sabbath school classes which meet regularly online.

If you can’t join us in person, we encourage you to watch live with us or watch later. Please note that our online gatherings are a work in progress. These will continue to develop and improve over time, and we welcome any feedback to improve their quality

Church red-18.png

Our plan in red is to continue our open worship gatherings at church for up to 25 attendees. We remind you that masks are mandatory at this level, and you must reserve a ticket to attend. Please remember not to come if you or someone from your home is sick, or is awaiting a COVID test result. Failure to respect these boundaries may result in a change in our ability to gather.

Home groups can also operate in red as long as the home and leaders feel they can safely do so.
We do ask, however, that you keep a record of when you meet and all those who attend. Wearing masks at home gatherings is not mandatory, but we highly recommend it. We also encourage you to consider outdoor venues where possible.

Please note that there may come a time when the impact of COVID in our community requires us to revisit our open gatherings in red. In the event that our leaders change this plan, we will notify our church family accordingly.

Church online will continue in red regardless of what happens at our church building. And it will always be our aim to meet in person as an ideal plan.

Be Strong

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.” (1 Cor 16:13-14)

Please remember that this plan will be reviewed at the end of the 1st Quarter, 2022. Until then, you may also contact our Pastors with any questions or comments regarding this plan.

Let’s continue to pray to God to keep us strong and patient during this time. In Christ,

CPF
